Terms and refunds
Written to be read. If something here is unclear, email [email protected] and we will answer in plain language rather than pointing at a clause.
The 30-day money-back guarantee
Try Rescue on your PC. If it does not help, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. You do not need to prove anything, send diagnostics, or explain yourself — though if you tell us what went wrong it usually makes the product better.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. We do not charge a restocking or processing fee.
What a licence covers
- Individual — one PC, for your own use.
- Family — up to five PCs in one household.
- Technician — unlimited machines that you service for others, which is the tier a repair shop or IT professional needs.
Licences are annual. A rescue USB you have already made keeps working; the subscription covers updates and support. Current pricing is on the pricing page.
What the software promises, and what it does not
We would rather be narrow and right than broad and wrong:
- Repair keeps your programs. Where Windows can be fixed in place, your installed software is not touched.
- A rebuild does not. If Windows has to be laid down fresh, the new copy has a fresh registry, so programs must be reinstalled. Your files are kept, and Rescue gives you the list of what was installed. You are told which path your PC needs before anything is changed. If local component stores or system files are damaged, a rebuild may require standard Windows installation media (USB/ISO).
- No recovery tool can promise every file. Deleted data survives until it is overwritten. On solid-state drives (SSDs), deleted data may be permanently cleared immediately if TRIM has run. Nothing can tell you in advance which of those has happened, and any product that says otherwise is guessing.
- Failing hardware is not a software problem. If a drive is physically failing, no software can repair it. Rescue can flag the warning signs; when it does, stop and get your data off rather than run repairs that can finish the drive off.
- Windows 10 and 11 only. Not 8.1, not 7, not macOS or Linux.
The one thing we ask
Back up what you cannot lose, whenever that is still possible. Rescue is built to repair without touching your data and is tested that way, but any repair on a drive that is already damaged carries some risk, and the drive may be in worse shape than either of us knows. If your files are irreplaceable and the machine still reads them, copy them off first. If it does not still read them, that is a recovery job — talk to us before running anything.
Liability
Rescue is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, Rightek IT Services' liability for any claim relating to the software is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
