Download Rightek Rescue
One installer for Windows 10 and 11. Install it on any working PC, enter your licence key, and make the rescue USB. Without a key the diagnosis is free — it tells you what's wrong before you decide to buy.
⬇ Rightek Rescue for Windows
Available Sunday, November 1, 2026. The signed installer and its SHA-256 appear here on launch day.
Email me the download link at launch →
It will be signed by Rightek I.T. Services Ltd. Windows shows that name when you run the installer; if it shows anything else, don't run it.
What you need
- A working computer — any Windows 10 or 11 machine — to download Rescue and write the USB. It does not have to be the broken one, and usually is not.
- A USB stick, 8 GB or larger. Making it bootable erases it, so use one you do not mind wiping.
- The broken PC's boot menu key — usually F12, F11 or Esc at power-on, depending on the manufacturer. The guides cover this per symptom.
System requirements
- Operating system: Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit. Windows 8.1 and 7 are not supported. There is no macOS or Linux build.
- The rescue USB runs outside Windows, so it can help when Windows will not start, provided the PC powers on and can boot from USB.
- Recovering files needs somewhere to put them: a second drive or a large USB stick with room for what you are rescuing. Recovered files are never written back over the drive they came from.
If your PC is broken right now
Download Rescue on any working PC and make the rescue USB — the diagnosis is free, so you can find out what's wrong before you buy. If you want a head start, the error checker suggests likely causes from the error text, and the free guides explain the options and risks, with manual steps where appropriate.
If the drive is making clicking or grinding noises, stop. Power the machine off and read this first; that is a recovery job, and every extra boot attempt is risk.
Checking the download
To confirm the file is exactly the one we published, open PowerShell in the folder you saved it to and run:
Get-FileHash .\Rightek_Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256
The hash it prints should match the SHA-256 published on this page at launch, character for character.
